the CO2, hence defining CAPCELL®. CAPCELL® is a barrier that prevents CO2 from reacting with water and calcium hydroxide when it is mixed throughout the concrete paste or wet stage. The CO2 is time released in a controlled manner to react with the calcium hydroxide which permanently removes CO2 from the environment through a chemical reaction.

Fly ash is commonly used in numerous applications, primarily as a substitute for portland cement in concrete manufacturing. In 2007, 31.6 million tons of fly ash were beneficially used, and of that amount 13.6 million tons were used in concrete, concrete products, and/or grout manufacturing.

Oil and gas wells today are constantly under scrutiny due to many factors. Wells today are deeper, hotter and some are in the middle of our cities and on our property. Increased costs to drill and operate create incentives to get “the most” from every well. New technologies have us “fracking” wells and drilling in areas that historically would not have been considered viable.
•During 2007 thru 2009, Miracon participated in a Fly Ash study that was partially funded by the D.O.E. . Active participants included: 1)ADA-ES, a major player in the carbon sequestration process designed for use at coal utility power plants; 2) WI Energies, Wisconsin Energies; 3) Miracon Technologies. The D.O.E. funded purchasing of a license from Miracon, so that testing could be performed at the R&D facility of ADA-ES, in Denver, Colorado.
